What format are the photos in?
Photos for download are in JPEG format.
Pictures for reproduction can be made available in JPEG, Tiff or other formats depending on your requirements and will be supplied at 300 dpi in sizes to A4 or larger.
What equipment is used to take the pictures?
All photographs are taken using Nikon D3, D2Hs, D300 (2008) or D200 (2007) professional digital cameras fitted with professional quality lenses (focal lengths 16mm to 300mm). Pictures are shot in 'RAW' format for the highest possible quality, and given detailed post processing to bring out the best colour, sharpness and contrast depending on the final use of the picture.
Do you add photos on a regular basis?
Yes. I add photographs as they are taken. Click on "Newest Photos" to see the latest photos that I have posted. News pictures are posted here after they have been published in the publication commissioning the work.
I don't see the picture I need - can you shoot for me?
YES! I am a professional photographer with 30+ years experience. Please contact me to discuss your requirements and get a free quotation. Who owns the copyright in the photographs?
I do. Photographs always remain my copyright. You are buying either a print for personal use only or a licence to use a photograph for a specific purpose for a specific length of time. Copyright infringement is treated seriously and offenders will be pursued to the full extent of the law. What are your delivery times?
Prints are delivered within 21 days (usually much sooner). Where downloads are available these are instant upon clearance of funds. For commercial use, where you must contact me - a file will be available immediately upon payment - usually same or next day.
